AMC Medical Office Building

Special Features

Because this building was constructed adjacent to the existing hospital, dust control and clean-up were critical considerations to the owner. In addition, upfits were made in shell spaces that adjoined existing tenants, making dust control a high priority. Nielsen provided barriers and walk-off mats, and performed clean-up to maintain a clean, safe working environment. The interior design of the building includes features such as a granite-floored atrium with a glass rail on the second elevators. It is the hope of the owner that the atrium will provide patients a pleasant, “healing” environment far removed from the institutional hospital environments of the past.

The Nielsen Partnership

In a design/build venture with architects Odell Associates, Inc., Nielsen constructed the interior upfit of the Medical Office Building, including over 21 doctors’ suites, a dialysis/oncology unit, a retail pharmacy, optical shops, ob/gyn offices, and more.
