Lake Prince Retirement Community
Lake Prince is a full service retirement community with thirty-three (33) cottages and duplex units, ninety-six (96) apartments, and forty (40) assisted living units, sixteen (16) dementia and thirty-two (32) skilled nursing units. The Commons Building houses the administration wing, chapel, dining/kitchen, service and support areas. The project is located in beautiful Suffolk, Virginia, on property that connects to Lake Prince. The various wings of the Main Complex are connected, therefore no person needs to venture outside to travel between any area of the building.
The buildings are constructed with wood materials with brick and siding making up the face of the buildings. A shingle roof with decorative dormers, railings, and a large cupola accent the spacious roof area. The entire project is nestled within acres of tall log pole pines that have been carefully preserved to protect the community from the elements.
Residents began to occupy the residential areas as early as July 1, 2002. Assisted living occupied in September 2002 and the skilled nursing wing occupied in October 2002.
