Massanutten Regional Library
This 30,000-square-foot addition was designed to tie into the existing library building. The old library, a narrow brick building on Newman Avenue, was completely remodeled and melded with the new, expansive building that fronts Main Street. The library addition allowed Massanutten Regional Library to enhance its offerings tremendously.
The remodeled library includes two meeting rooms that can hold about 90 people. One of the rooms has a kitchen. The Science Museum of Virginia has a permanent display in the renovated library. A local philanthropist donated his vast collection of law books, creating the Conrad Memorial Library. The Gates Computer Lab includes 11 computers for training and instruction.
