This project consisted of building a new 80,000-square-foot building for Houff Feed and Fertilizer. The building was constructed using tilt-up construction. The building is adjacent to a rail line, hence the name “Railside.” A portion of the building will be leased, with the remainder used for office space. This building marks Nielsen’s second tilt-up project in Augusta County, with the first being the John D. Eiland Distribution Center in Verona.

Houff Feed and Fertilizer President Neil Houff says, “I was very pleased with the job. We couldn’t have expected it to go any better than it did. I was pleased with the work, the communication, and the lack of change orders. I enjoyed working with Kevin, with Pee Wee, and with the whole crew. If I decided to build another building tomorrow, Nielsen would be the first company on my list to call.”
